No one can reliably predict which managers will do well in the future. Past performance is not necessarily a good indicator of future results. Indexing's advantage is that it invests broadly among securities and across market sectors. It reduces the risk of performance surprises by providing market-like returns. Our index funds are not designed to be the highest performing funds in any period.
