Investment Strategy
The TD Emerald Enhanced Canadian Equity Pooled Fund Trust is broadly diversified and invests in a large number of securities based on a quantitative model, which exploits anomalies of the Canadian market. This Strategy is comprised of two components: a Fund and a segregated position in any name that is underweight inside the Fund as a result of the 10% book value restriction imposed by the Income Tax Act, but warrants a larger holding to implement the model.
Investment Objective
The investment objective of the Strategy is to outperform the S&P/TSX Composite Index over the long run, while maintaining a risk profile similar to that of the Index.
Who Should Invest
This Strategy is designed for taxable and tax-exempt individuals and organizations, including pension funds, non-profit entities and corporations that are interested in receiving added value relative to the Canadian equity market while controlling risk.
