Recommended For
This Fund may be suitable for medium to long-term investors who are seeking a high quality income investment, a regular income stream and are contributing to the income component of a diversified portfolio. Investors in this Fund should be willing to accept a low level of risk.
Why Invest
The focus on corporate bonds allows you to take advantage of their higher potential returns relative to government bonds.

The managers and strong team of credit analysts closely monitor each bond-issuing corporation they hold to minimize risk and allow the purchase of higher yielding corporate bonds.

The Fund seeks to deliver superior returns relative to the investment risk involved and has been recognized by some of the mutual fund industry’s leading analysts.
Portfolio Update
Quarterly Update

Overall, Canadian bonds generated modestly positive returns for the quarter. Both government and corporate bonds gained, with corporates outperforming their government counterparts. Corporate bonds continued to benefit from higher relative yields and strong company balance sheets, while government bonds benefitted as some investors continued to seek safe havens for their capital. Over the quarter, mid-term bonds were the best performers, although short- and long-term bonds also gained. The portfolio adviser continues to keep the duration slightly shorter than benchmark to mitigate the risk of higher yields should they occur. Nonetheless, yield remains higher than benchmark.
