Portfolio Update
Quarterly Update

Despite continuing uncertainty regarding political considerations in the U.S. (for example, the current ‘fiscal cliff impasse’ has morphed into a new debt ceiling debate), the underlying U.S. economy continues to recover nicely. The housing market is on the mend, with both transactions and prices increasing strongly year-over-year. Private credit growth is expanding as evidenced by auto sales rebounding back to pre-recession levels, and the revival of U.S. manufacturing continues, with the latest ISM numbers signaling expansion. The portfolio adviser continues to believe that the ideal way to participate is this positive economic rebalancing is through a balanced fund composed of high quality dividend paying U.S. stocks and corporate bonds that offer a nice alternative to low government bond yields.
