Pooled Index & Quantitative Funds
Pooled index funds are an investment that pools money from many individuals and invests it according to its stated objectives. The pooled index funds are managed passively by professionals seeking to track the performance of a recognized market index.
Unlike actively managed funds, index funds do not attempt to outperform the index or “time the market” by increasing or decreasing cash positions. When investors subscribe to a pooled fund, they share all the investments held by that fund.
